11 Powerful Reasons Why Women Should Work

11 Powerful Reasons Why Women Should Work

September 25, 2022

As a Financial Advisor for Women for decades now, I have encouraged women to earn their own source of income in order to be independent, not just from their husbands, but independent of the society we live in. This is where you can see The Real Value of Working with a Female Financial Advisor helping other women succeed through Retirement Planning and Wealth Management.

Independent working women also earn more which helps their Social Security benefit grow over time into a much larger sum than if they were not working.

 Women and Workforce Participation

In 2019, 57.4% of all women participated in the labor force. While the global pandemic affected this statistic, recent signs of women returning to the workforce from numerous organizations is a hopeful sign.

Working is not just a means of earning money. It's also a way to develop yourself as an individual. Working gives you opportunities to meet new people and learn new skills that can help you achieve your goals in life. It also helps build your confidence and self-esteem, which is essential for women who want to be equal partners in their homes and society at large.

Whether fighting for equality or simply trying to put food on the table, women share many of the same motivating factors as men in building a solid and lucrative career. In many cases, these motivations are tied to personal reasons that often propel women to excel because there is more to overcome.

That is why we at Meyers Financial Services wanted to highlight many of the reasons we see our female clients continue to push further and further into their personal growth and career development, including:

1 -Women- Planning for the Future

Women are more likely to think about their financial future and take steps to secure it. Women are more likely to save money and plan for retirement, as well as think about the future of their families and children. With a regular income, women can take these plans and put them into action.

2 - Women and Financial Independence

Let's be honest - money is everything. It's the root of all good and evil and also the driving force behind many of our greatest achievements. As women, we should work because it gives us financial independence. Instead of having to rely on an allowance from someone else, we can make financial decisions about our own lives on our own.

3 - Women - Connecting with Other People

One of the most important reasons why women should work is because they have the ability to learn how to communicate with other people. This means that not only will you be able to socialize with people and make friends in the future, but you'll also be able to find a job where this skill can be put to good use.

4 - Women and Personal Growth

Personal growth is an essential part of life. It's a continuous process, and it requires you to always be learning new things, meeting new people, and taking on new challenges. Personal growth keeps your mind active and healthy, which can help you avoid depression or other mental health problems. Finding a job, business, or career goal helps achieve exceptional personal growth.

5 - Women - Boost your Self-Esteem

Working can also boost your self-esteem. When you work, you will be able to feel good about yourself and what you are doing. You will be able to take on challenges, achieve your goals and feel like you are doing something meaningful in life. Most importantly, when you see a beautiful outfit in a store window, you’ll be able to purchase it without consulting anyone else.

6 - Women - Afford the Things You Want

Working can also afford the things you want. You can afford to buy a house and pay for your children's school fees, university fees, and weddings. This is because working enables you to save money. When you work, you will be able to take some of the money that you earn from working and save it in your bank account or invest it in something like stocks or bonds so that it grows over time.

7 - Women - Ability to Say No

If you have been working in the industry for some time, you are probably used to saying no. People will ask you to do things that are outside of your job description or that take up too much of your time. It is important to know your limits and when you should say no. That same power can be translated into your personal and social lives as well.

8 -  Women - Sense of Accomplishment

A sense of accomplishment is one of the most powerful motivators in life. The ability to look back on your day, week, month, or year and see what you've done can help you keep going when times get tough or when goals seem too high. Having a rewarding job that makes you feel like you actually achieved something is a valued part of our human experience.

We also start seeing small wins along the way, and these can be huge boosts of confidence as well as motivate us onward toward bigger ones.

9 - Women - Become a Role Model

Being a role model is something that can be extremely rewarding, but it also takes hard work. You have to be the best version of yourself so that others will look up to you and want to become like you in some way. For example, if you want your daughter to become a doctor, then she needs to see how strong and intelligent her mother is when she works as an emergency room physician. It's not just about being successful at work. It's about acting like someone who has achieved their dreams by working hard and remaining focused on their goals while they're at work.

10 - Women - Support Your Family

Working can be one of the most rewarding things you do for your family. It’s important to support your family and provide them with a stable income. You can help them achieve their goals, reach their potential, and make them happy. By working, you can help them achieve their dreams so they can be successful in life. It doesn’t matter if you are female or male; being able to support a family is an often cited need of our clients.

11 - Why Women Should Work - Develop a Personal Identity

To achieve a strong personal identity, you need to know what makes you different from other people. This can be difficult if you are constantly comparing yourself with others and trying to be like them. One of the best ways for women to develop an independent identity is by working outside the home, where they are exposed to new experiences and situations that will help them grow as individuals. This will provide context for where they are currently and where they want to be in the future.

Dont Forget to Ask for Help

Women should work because they can. Women should work because they want to. Women should work because they can afford to. Women should work because they can make a difference in the lives of others and themselves.
